Safety at a construction site is highly prioritized at the Inspection department of the Ministery of Social Affairs and Employment. In the labour law different guidelines about construction processes are included. Those guidelines prescribe the responsibilities of every party that is involved in a construction project. They guarantee safe and healthy work conditions during all phases of a construction project.
inBrain developed different e-learning modules for the inspectors to capture this complex subject in an attractive digital learning solution.

The inspection was looking for a partner with whom they could develop several digital learning solutions. The aim was to keep the knowledge on the standards of labour up-to-date. InBrain was selected as the best partner to collaborate with the Ministry for the next few years.

The first e-learning module we developed was a module in which practice and theory were seamlessly combined.
The module starts with an animation that points out the importance of the labour guidelines. With this animation we made inspectors aware of their responsibility. The module then went on to offer different real-life work examples through which the inspectors gained knowledge.
Before the inspectors started the module, they completed a pre-test. Based on their score, they were advised to focus on specific parts of the module. The specific parts that needed additional attention were highlighted. By highlighting the parts that required additional attention, the inspectors knew exactly what parts needed additional focus. The module concluded with a post-test in which the inspectors were challenged to bring theory into practice
The result of the request of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment led to an interactive, practical and adaptive learning solution. The solution challenges the inspectors with real-life cases, provides them in-depth information and provides relevant resources which can be useful during their work.
